Bath Time Beauty Basics

Bath Time Beauty Basics

Hey guys! How many bath-lovers do we have out here? I know I’m one! Taking a bath is one of my favorite relaxing activities and, believe it or not, I actually like bathing more for relaxation purposes than for personal hygiene.

For years I’ve used baths to ease my anxiety and de-stress from long, tiring days, but I also enjoy taking baths when I want to pamper myself with beauty products!

A nice, long bath is the perfect time to lay back, relax, and treat yourself to some hair and skin treatments, so today I’m going to share with you a few beauty products you absolutely need to try next time you take a bath!

Epsom Salts

The many benefits of Epsom salts in your bath are absolutely unbelievable!

Although they’re primarily known for reducing inflammation and pain, Epsom salts also have some fantastic beauty benefits. Adding these salts to your bath will help soften your skin and add volume to your hair. Plus, they’re pretty inexpensive, which is an added bonus!

Bath Bombs

This is definitely a girl thing, but bath bombs make me so happy! It’s delightfully fun to see them fizz and change the water bright, happy colors. They also are great for softening your skin. I actually can’t say I know anything better than a bath bomb to give you silky smooth skin!

If you’re still a child at heart like me, then you should absolutely get yourself some bubble bath! This beauty product is nice if you really want to bring out all the stops for your bath. There’s no doubt you’ll be feeling like a queen by the end of the bath! With a bubble bath you can pick whatever color/scent you want for either relaxation or just to smell good.

Body Wash

I’m not sure how much more basic I can get for bath time basics than body wash. This beauty product is another great way to customize your bath time experience.

Some body washes have essential oils in them, giving you a calming effect when you use the product. Others are just meant to make you smell good. There’s also the obvious personal hygiene benefit as well.

Hair Treatments

I’m a major advocate of hair treatments, mostly because I’ve dyed my hair a million and one times and have actually seen the strength they bring back into my hair! Hair treatments and masks are flexibly diverse because there’s one for just about any type of care you may need.

Personally, I haven’t found any better time or way to do hair treatments than while I’m chilling in the bathtub.

If you try to do a hair treatment in the shower, you just end up standing there forever or you accidentally end up washing most of it out trying to shave your legs or wash your body. Annoying! So, be a multi-tasker and save yourself some stress by doing your hair treatments during a bath.

Face Masks

My favorite beauty products of all time are definitely face masks. I have struggled terribly with dry skin and acne, so face masks tend to be a lifesaver for me.

Bath time is the perfect time to do face masks for the same reason it’s good to do hair treatments: you’ve got time to just lay back and relax and let the products work their magic. It’s also nice because then you don’t have to walk around the house with a face mask on, looking like a freak!

What’s your favorite bath time beauty product?

I always love reading your comments and trying out your suggestions, so if you know of any new things I should try, feel free to tell me in the comments!
