Today, I would like to introduce you to a new type of post we will be doing occasionally on the blog! The purpose of this is to give you great movie and snack ideas so you don’t have to stress about planning your Friday night movie night after a long week at work. Pretty nice, right?
Here’s the line-up for our first Friday Night Movie Night:
The Movie: You Were Never Really Here (Rated R)
I saw this movie in the early summer and thought it was great! Just keep in mind that it’s a very rough movie, so if you’re faint of heart it’s definitely not for you!
You Were Never Really Here is about an agent who is hired to rescue a teenage girl from a trafficking ring. It’s tragic because doing what the agent does for a living has resulted in him having a really serious case of PTSD, which is uniquely portrayed throughout the entire film.
You’ll have to watch the whole movie to find out who was never really there and what symbolism it has! For now, here’s the trailer!
Snack time: Apple Slices and Cookie Butter
YUM! It was kind of a tradition in my dad’s house that we ate apples when we watched movies, so I would like to share that tradition with all of you .
I recommend using Granny Smith apples because they are the most tart and can hold their own against the sweet Cookie Butter!
Ah…Cookie Butter. If you’ve never had Cookie Butter then you need to run to the nearest Trader Joe’s and get yourself some of that scrumptious, ground-up gingersnap spread. I don’t even like gingersnap cookies and I could eat this Cookie Butter by the spoonful!
Thank you for taking the time to check out this article and I hope it makes your Friday Night Movie Night the best ever!
