Executive Team CEO and Founder- Mica Mackenzie Mica Mackenzie is the founder and CEO of The Quiet Nonsense, LLC. She currently lives in Dallas with her boyfriend, Hunter, and their goldendoodle puppy Ted! Her dream is to help The Quiet Nonsense develop into an alternative version of Buzzfeed, but she also wants to get her PhD in Quantum Mechanics so she can do research and teach at a University. COO and Editing Executive- Lex Laine Lex Laine is a super quirky and introverted nanny who loves to kick back and relax with her kitten and boyfriend as she enjoys an episode or two of Supernatural. While her day job is being a fantastic nanny to the best kiddo in Raleigh, her real passion is reintroducing people to the world in unique ways through her writing. Lex joined the team to introduce herself to the blogging community, gain more blogging experience, hone her web design skills, and break out of her shell! Creative Design Executive- Kayla Brasel Kayla has an Associates in Advertising Design. Currently, she’s going to school at SVA in New York City for a bachelors in Computer Animation as her ultimate goal is to be a visual concept designer in 3D modeling. She also loves to take photos, both for fun and for paid work. Aside from that, some of her favorite things to do are cosplaying and going to comic con, seeing how much coffee she can drink in a day, and dabbling in makeup looks and wig styling. Marketing Executive- Linda Tran Linda Tran is the Marketing Executive at the Quiet Nonsense. She’s currently from the Boston area with goals of relocating to New York City within the next few years to hopefully pursue a marketing career in the fashion industry. She will be graduating at the end of April from Southern New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and immediately starting graduate school in May. She has an undergraduate degree in Russian Studies from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in Russian Literature and Language from SUNY at Albany. Originally from Michigan, she now spends most of her year in Switzerland. She loves art, history, art history, music, cats, vegan food, and speaking out about injustices. She has three adorable children and one feisty feline. Erin joined the team at The Quiet Nonsense to get reacquainted with technology and gain editing and writing experience. Someday she would like to start her own blog or do professional editing. Assistant Marketing Executive- Courtney Clauder Courtney is a Texas girl with a bunch of city in her. She’s huge into Fashion and dabbles in a bit of Marketing as well. She love anything that has to do with dogs, and you can catch her binge-watching any crime show or at the nearest concert. If she’s not at work that is. She joined The Quiet Nonsense to get more inside/knowledge on Marketing, which in-turn she just fell in love with it! Ever curious as to who is on TQN Twitter? It’s her! She was given the opportunity to be one of TQN Social Media Managers and it has definitely been something that she has come to enjoy. She also does a little bit of writing for TQN, which has been a joy to get back into writing. Executive Assistant- Anne Carty Anne is from Ireland where she is taking time off after school to focus on her mental health. She is also an assistant at Quiet Nonsense and rubs her own blog with topics including travel, mental health and so much more. Anne dreams of/ is working towards becoming a professional blogger. Current Interns Writing and PR Intern- Briggy Jones Briggy (Brigetta) Jones is an easy-going, art loving boy mom and dog mom. She loves to make music with her trusty guitar, create art, cook vegan food, and write. She enjoys going to farmers markets and exploring the city of Dallas with her husband. Briggy joined The Quiet Nonsense team to focus her skills and passions into a platform to engage with her readers in a personal way. One day she hopes to have her artwork displayed all over the world. Creative Design Intern- Natasha Méndez Natasha, a California native, is a marketing guru who enjoys branching out and expanding her skill set. Since graduating from UNLV in 2016, Natasha enjoys spending time with her pup and husband outdoors. Natasha is passionate about education, volunteering, and tacos. On the weekends you can catch her reading, at a taco stand, or hiking. Natasha is loves the opportunity that The Quiet Nonsense has given her and hopes to grow with the team. Photography Intern- Jess Epting Jess Epting is a photographer for QN. She is a 13 year old from VA and besides photography, she is also a dancer and is still currently in school, as well. She loves to travel, take photos, dance, drink coffee and listen to lots of music! Social Media Management Intern- Haley Creech Haley is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studies sociology and music. She tutors elementary school students through America Reads, and hopes to be an elementary school teacher after getting a Master of Arts in Teaching. She is a member of the Iota Tau chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, a women’s music fraternity, and she writes news articles for Her Campus at the national level. She joined The Quiet Nonsense to further expand her network of talented content creators and to gain experience using social media in a professional manner. Social Media Management Intern- Katherine Davidson Katherine (Kat) Davidson is a college student, loving nanny, and slightly obsessed dog mom in Dallas, TX. She enjoys spending time with her fur babies, Thor & Apollo, at dog parks and on runs.
